Ambassador for ‘Achievement For All’,

A UK Patron OF Reading,

& Motivational Speaker

“He is an inspirational speaker and the students were amazed.’’

A U.K. Patron of Reading, and a member of the National Association of Writers in Education, he  actively promotes the importance of reading, literacy and creative writing by visiting primary and secondary schools, colleges, libraries and events in the U.K. and delivering his acclaimed, interactive, motivational and inspiring sessions designed to excite and energise young people’s imagination and interest

in the power of words.

It was an absolute pleasure to
have you in our school. The Power of Words
assembly was inspirational. You engaged the
girls and boys alike and made them reflect, think
and aspire. We were impressed with how
mesmerized they all became from the word go.
The fiction writing workshops were a blast! They
were educational and fun at the same time. You
delivered them brilliantly, pitching the subject spot
on and tapping into our students’ personal
experiences. Even the most reluctant writers
threw themselves in. It was a joy to watch.

‘What can I say? - the response to your visit has been phenomenal! Never have I had so many teachers, parents and children say so many positive things about an author visit. The enthusiasm you have for writing and the motivational messages you bring about reading are spot on -  and have visibly inspired the children with their own reading and writing.’

Dear Joffre,
thank you so much for such a wonderful day
yesterday. The talk was simply brilliant - and so well
pitched to such a wide cross section of ages.
Your kindness and generosity with the girls at
lunchtime was lovely, and then straight into the
creative writing workshop, which was another triumph.
The girls - and I - thoroughly enjoyed your company,
your enthusiasm and your expertise.
It was just joyous.
Min Edmonds, Librarian, St Mary’s Shaftesbury
